Last year for my birthday (which is coming up on December 14th, hint hint!), I got a photo frame that looked like a film strip, that holds 7 4X6’s (yes, from Ikea!). It sat at the foot of my bed. Until yesterday.
I got a bunch of photos back from a shoot I did in March with Dave Collins, and most of them were in black and white, and taken horizontally – so I chose my favourite 7, and put them in the frame!
Which led me to feeling ever so slightly narcissistic. Granted, I’m leaving the pictures there! For what it’s worth, they’re fantastic shots! (Thanks, Dave.)
What are your thoughts? I’m sure everyone has photos up of groups of people (including yourself!), and of significant others etc, but how many of you have solo photos of yourself up? And how many is too many? I can’t be the only one who does this!
On another note, I’ve been on set for Fantastic 4 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer for a week now. It’s just background work, but hey, at this stage, money is money, and craft services is wonderful. The thing is, they’re night shoots, so we’re called at 6:30 pm and we wrap up between 5-6:30 am. Half the time, I don’t know what day or time it is anymore! And my sleep schedule is royally mucked up, which is grand.
Oh, speaking of F42, but also remembering that I’ve signed a confidentiality agreement, I can’t say anything about the movie, which is fine, but I did see Jessica Alba. See, I am very much a smile person. She did not smile. Off camera, that is. She would just walk right on by, which I can understand, but at the same time, I can’t. That disappointed me. Not very impressed.
Also, the show I did publicity for (COLLAGE: Homage to Kurt Schwitters) opens this Friday, December 8th! Check out www.enlightenmenttheatre.com for details, or send me a message here. It’s a great script, and should be a great show, so come on down! Yes, there are 2 for 1 matinees, and pay what you can previews, so no excuses!
Now, I think I’m going to try make a hair appointment for this week, too…
